Have you ever seen her? She is crazy they say…She will harm you. Stay away! She lives in the cottage inside the cave of whispers, up in the rocky mountains just behind the waterfalls. From the height she sees everything. Every move, every activity. She watches like a hawk. Humans tried to find her, tried to kill her. People live in fear. No one ever saw her. And the ones who did were lost.

Josef, one of the town’s young hunters, knew the rumours. ‘What a pack of bollocks!’ he thought. So one day he decided to go. He wanted to see this horrible creature that everyone was afraid of. Three days and three nights he travelled to get to the waterfall. He looked around…’Wow!’ he thought. ‘Never seen this place before. So beautiful!’. He entered the cave. She was expecting him. ‘Are you here to kill me Josef?’. A voice sounded in the cave. Josef looked around in surprise. ‘How do you know my name?’ he replied. ‘I can see beyond the human eye hunter. I know all. Now…answer the question’ she said. ‘I am here to see what the fuss is all about.’ He replied. ‘So young…and so arrogant.’ Josef heard a noise behind him and turned. There she was! And wasn’t she a sight for sore eyes! Her beauty was beyond words. He froze. She smiled at him. Suddenly he started feeling very warm…he wanted to tear his clothes and rip his flesh…his eyes started to glow. And then nothing…

 

He woke up in a white room…days, months or years later. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t scream. He was full of cables, sucking the life out of him. He wanted to escape and he was fighting inside but it was pointless. He felt warm again and lost his consciousness. She was watching him from behind the mirror. Then someone approached her. ’Thank you, Mary!’ said the warden. ‘Keep them coming. The sewer city needs the energy’.
